After having been flowing this site for some time now I have few things to say to all of you people here and I`ll do it in english since it takes me ages to write armenian with latin alphabet.

1. It`s a freaking song contest, light enterntaiment for most of Europe. Nobody takes this contest that seriously, it`s mostly a contest loved by gay guys... so please people don`t take it so seriously. I know for countries like Armenia being in this contest is some kind of prove that Armenia is finally in Europe or gives some kind of hope that one they it`ll get in Europe, but most Europeans don`t give a damn about these stuff.

2. The contest is called EUROSVISION not Armenia vs Turkey&Azerbaijan-Vision. I don`t understand people here worrying that Azerbaijan or Turkey will do better than us or worse than us. Why do you people care about how they will do? and if you like to compare countries there are 30-40 more countries in the contest not just Turkey and Azerbaijan. This contest is not a "mini war" where you can compete and see who wins.

3. People talking about Emmy`s nose etc and commenting again what Azeris and Turks will say. Again who gives a damn what Turks and Azeris will say? and besides so what if she`s had a nose job?! If you ask me I`d say no Armenian parents should be allowed to have kids before you`re sure that besides some collage found they also have a "nose job" found for their kids. Lets face it, we`re not lucky when it comes to noses as nation. Few lucky of us have nice noses but most of us don`t. I got my nose job when I was 18 and I`m very happy about it and proud of doing it so. I talk about it openly and don`t keep it a secret or feel like I have to be ashamed for having had a nose job. So get over these stupid stuff and stop commenting on personal stuff.

4. I don`t get how most people think that when we send songs to ESC they have to always have some either duduk, zurna or dhol in it or in some way have some traditional Armenian sounds in it. I don`t agree with this. First of all it`s not a culture contest really. Sure i`ll be nice if every country would send something representing of their culture but lets face it how often do we see lets say Austria sending joddeling songs or UK sending some river dance, pipe instrument songs?! So yes if it was a more professional cultural contest I would agree with you but this is just light entertainment. And traditions and culture involves too, who says that a song written by Armenians and performed by Armenians (as the case is for E&M) is not Armenian? In that case you can say all the songs coming from Western European countries are just American and not lets say Swedish, German, Dutch (coz they don`t have any national instruments in them).

5. And this is for the Armenski person. For someone saying that they live in Europe, know how Europeans think and like you sure sound like one of those narrow minded people from the Armenian villages close to the border of Azerbaijan or Iran. Who in Europe would use the world shame?!!! amot, xaytarak etc is such an "armenian" way of talking and thinking... and what`s so shameful of finishing in Top 10? Do you know how many countries would kill to be as luck as to finish in top 5 or 10?! We should be just happy that we do so well as we do. Yes winning would be nice but as I said before in most western European countries this is a gay men`s contest and nobody takes it that seriously. Just have fun and send songs that you can still play in clubs after ESC is over:)

Hayq totally agree with you. Western european countries don't even take eurovision seriously, but for us its about showing what armenia is and how talanted we are that's why people are so anal about it. But people plz realize that its not just about the song, its promotion, show, presenting yourself so that people will like you, that's why I think even though mihran and emmy don't have the best song, they qualify better for the other cracterias

YES, in European countries EUROVISION is very "has been". People make fun of singers who are participating at this contest and consider you as a freak if you're watching this contest in front of your TV
For not very-well known countries, this is just a good opportunity to show their culture and how "talented" their singers/dancers are. That's why this is a great event for them !!!

ok I`ll try to keep this short, I forgot one more point:

6. People talking and discussing weather or not Eva is Armenian or how Armenian she is or how worthy of representing Armenia she is. 1st of all define what being Armenian means?! When are you Armenian? when both of your parents are Armenian? when one is? when 3/4 are? should you have been born in Armenia? should your grand grand father be all Armenian too? is it really all about genetics? Will you consider an uneducated, unalphabet person that`s born by Armenian parents and raised in Armenia but doesn`t know much about Armenian history and culture more Armenian than someone educated but half Armenian? Should you be brunet or blond to be Armenian? Why does all these matter at all?... The girl says she`s Armenian, then she`s freaking Armenian. If she says she is, if she feels she is than she is. Cause believe me if it was all about genetics a DNA test as homogeneous nation as we are will show how genetically different we really are. In general if lets say a foreigner sings and wants to be part of our culture we should be more accepting and welcoming and being very flattered instead of questioning their ethnicity. So if you like Eva`s song vote for it, if you don`t stop using her ethnicity as an argument for not voting for her.

Simply.
Mihran and Emmy #1 there's nothing else to think about.
1. They have the song for Europe. Correction Europe not Armenia get it in your head it's a European contest.
2. They have the experience. They have both been performing since they were 2 years old.
3. They have the looks. All girls will vote for Mihran adn all guys will vote for Emmy.
4. They can dance and put on a great show which Armenia has never had let's be honest. They have the most up tempo song this year.
5. They have great PR and celebrity backing which all ways helps. Plus Mihran can speak english and Armenian while Emmy speaks both and Russian. So it least we will not have any problems with interviews, thank God.

My friend goes to school in Armenia and he told me the Eva Rivas people came to there school and paid some student's to send there sms to Eva on the 14th, haha. Sad but true they know that Armenia is not going to vote for her so there bring there money in to works now.
